This pattern was inspired by a vintage pair of Japanese shorts that read like a boxer. I was a teenager in the 1980’s, always wore men’s boxer shorts as shorts… with button-down shirts…. and Doc Martens of course! I think of these as an elevated version of the ones I had in 1984.
